American Gold Star Mothers

70th Annual National Convention

Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park
Wichita, KS Tuesday 26 June 2007
1800 hrs (6PM)
 
The Kansas American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard have been invited by the National President of the Gold Star Mothers, Betty Jean Pulliam, to attend their ceremony at Wichita's Veterans Memorial Park.  The ceremony will be in front of the Gold Star Mothers Memorial and the Vietnam Wall Memorial. The Veterans Park proudly displays the American Flag, all the military branches of service flags, and military war monuments the United States have been in.  The Gold Star Mothers have lost their loved ones who have fought for America's freedom.  Each and every one of them is very special to all of us.  If you can please attend and support this memorial service.
 
Please bring your motorcycle flag pole & flag if you have one.
 
Staging Area & Line Up:
1700 hrs (5PM)  Tuesday 26 June 2007  American Legion Post 4 (next to tag office) at Main & Murdock on north side of Murdock street, Wichita, KS
 
Briefing by Ride Captains:  ALR 136 VAC Terry "Darkhorse" Houck and ALR 4 Director Wayne "Tarzan" Tibbs. ALR Post 4 and 136 Road Captains/Guards will provide protection to Memorial Park
 
Departure to Ceremony:
1730 hrs (5:30PM)
Upon arrival, park on right side of Greenway street in column's of 2 abreast.  The ceremony area will be west of where we park. 
A 10 foot pole with American Flag will be handed to each one of us to carry to sidewalk and form a Avenue of flags for the Gold Star
Mothers to walk through.  The mothers will arrive around 1800 hrs (6PM).  Ceremony will last 30 minutes.
