ALR Special Prayer Request

Samuel S. Alexander, Jr.

Services Saturday, January 20, 2007
In Memory of Sam Alexander

To Kathy Saindon and family, members of American Legion Post 136 Auxiliary and ALR:

Please accept our condolences for the loss of your father, Samuel S. Alexander Jr.
God bless Sam and his family.

Sam Alexander, age 77, died 16 January 2007.  Mr. Alexander was a retired USAF Veteran and
postal carrier.   He was in the Navy for 11 years and the Air Force for 10 years retiring in 1969.

Service was at 1 p.m. Saturday, 20 January 2007, at Hillside Funeral Home
West Chapel; burial with military honors at El Paso Cemetery, Derby, KS.

There were nine of us at the service.  We held 10 American flags up in front of the tent.  The family was very appreciative.  It was a beautiful and honorable setting.   The Air force provided the Full Military honor gravesite service.

Sam is survived by his wife, Joan Cheney;
daughters, Deborah Scarlett, Kathy Saindon, Sandra Alexander;
grandchildren, Mindy, Samantha, Tracy, Cassie, Alex.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653.

                    Very Sincerely,
                    American Legion / ALR Post 136
