US Air Force Veteran and retired US Government Civil Servant Russell Joe Applegate 69 years old died 14 April 2007 in Huntsville, Alabama.  He was a charter member of the Redstone Riders Motorcycle Club and a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  Russell served America honorably and protected our freedom.  His family requested and invited the Kansas American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard to attend the funeral.
This Saturday there are several ALR events/missions planned but if you can spare a couple of hours it would be greatly appreciated.  If you are not going to one of the other events please attend this funeral mission and stand holding an America Flag in honor and support of Russell Applegate's family and friends.  God Bless Russell Applegate and his family.
 
Bring motorcycle flag poles and flags:
 
Pre Staging:    0745 hrs  (7:45AM)  meet at Derby QT  71st & K15
Departure:       0815 hrs (8:15 AM) travel Thunder Road to Augusta, KS.
 
Final Staging   0900 hrs (9AM)  
Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home
On 5th Street between Osage and School Street. 
5th Street is 2 blocks south of Hwy 54/400 and 2 blocks east of Hwy 77
 
Briefing;       0915 hrs
 
Line up flags on bikes
We will set up Avenue of flags at funeral home
 
Visitation at funeral home:   1000 hrs to 1100 hrs 
 
 
Graveside Military Honor service:      1130 hrs
Approx. 1115 hrs escort  to cemetery with our motorcycle flag honor guard.
The number and order of flags will be determined at that time.
Cemetery is North on Ohio street,  8 blocks from funeral home.
