American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard are invited by Wichita Police Department to attend their memorial service for Fallen K-9 "Rooster".
He was shot and killed in the line of duty Saturday, 18 March 2017, while assisting in the apprehension of a suspect. Memorial service is scheduled Friday, 31 March 2017. Rooster, a Belgian Malinois, was a five-year veteran of the Wichita Police Department. Rooster is WPD's first K-9 officer killed in the line of duty. The American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard extend sincere sympathy to Wichita Police Officers for the loss of their brave K-9 Rooster. |
