ALR/PG Prayer Request

ALR/PG Family Member and Dear Friend

Greg "Ebay" Hansen

August 06, 2007

January 10, 2008 Update -

A few of us went to see Ebay today at the hospital.  GOOD NEWS!!  The CT scan showed no cancer!  He still has congestion (pneumonia) in one lung, preventive radiation is scheduled for today for the lung cancer HE HAD!  There is a good chance he will be released to go home with the O2 tomorrow. Your prayers are working, your visits, cards, phone calls & prayers  mean a lot to him

"Thanks For What You Do"

January 9, 2008 Update -

As you know our good friend, ALR Post 406 - Andover Area Director, and Co-Founder of the Patriot Guard,  Ebay has been treated for lung cancer.  Everything looked good after the treatments.  He went to Texas over the Holidays and became short of breath.  Upon returning home he was advised he had pneumonia and was put on O2 at home.  He continued getting worse and was admitted to hospital.  The antibiotics at this point are not working and he is not getting any better. The Doctors have requested a CT scan sometime today.  Ebay would appreciate our company, calls etc.  He is in St. Francis Hospital, 929 N. St. Francis, Wichita, Ks 67214 - Room 7049, ph 316-268-5000, his cell: 316-461-8350.  Anything you can do would be great.

Please keep Ebay and his family in your prayers.

Thanks,

Cregg Hansen (Bronco 6)

December 11, 2007 Update -

I went to the Doctor today. He said I am in remission. No live cancer cells. No more chemo. I will undergo preventative irradiation of the brain in January. That is it. Not a 100% guarantee, but they are pretty sure that it is over.

October 30, 2007 Update -

The Dr. told us today that the spots on my lungs are 75% gone. Another mass that is somewhere in there has shrunk moderately. They are checking red blood cells because they are most likely low and they will give me a shot to help build red blood cells when they get to low levels. He is also putting me on a smiley pill to combat depression, which I don't feel that I have, oh well, it won't be the first time that I have been artificially made happy. I have 2 more sessions of chemo, then in January, they will irradiate my brain as a preventative measure, because the chemo doesn't go to the brain and this will kill any cells that try to hide there. After that, I am sure there will be more treatment to get it 100%.

We will know if the smiley pill really works when I put the Harley up for sale. I must have bought it because of depression.

September 23, 2007 Update from Bronco -

Many ALR brothers & sisters are e-mailing me regarding their concern for Greg (Ebay) Hansen. I wanted to let you all know that he is doing well, looks good, eating good & his attitude is great.  He did take short term disability from Spirit Aircraft due to his frequent visits to the Doc , but is doing fine.

Thanks for your concern and keep the prayers coming...

August 10, 2007 Thank You Note from Ebay-

I would like to thank everyone who came by Wednesday evening, it was such a wonderful thing to be able to hug so many friends before I enter into this battle. Things will go so much easier now. I also want to thank everyone that brought flowers, plants, cards, and the flag. Georgianna and  I were given a cross necklaces from very dear friends whom we will follow anywhere and be there for them whenever asked. They will stay with us through the battle and every day thereafter, (Thank you General and Captain Houck). I was also given a personal guardian angel taken straight from his vest, which will be on my hat throughout this whole thing and I will present it back to him in person when the battle is over (Thank you Brother Richard Soden). I also want to thank those that could not be here but have me in their thoughts and prayers, they are being answered so please don't stop. I will be at the State Rally in September, so maybe I will see you all there.

I am wealthy in friends, not riches,
I am healthy in spirit, and physically as good as can be expected for a
risk taker at my age,
I am knowledgeable about life, not so much about books,
I am devoted to God, America, and my community,
So if God needs me I am ready and not afraid,
If he needs me to stay to continue with my work here on earth, I am
ready and not afraid.
Either way, when I awake in the morning, I will wake to my wife and my
family, or I will wake to Heaven, both are the most beautiful
alternatives.
It can't get any better than this!

August 9, 2007 Note from Ebay-

I am sitting here getting chemo (an IV). This is not like other diseases where they have to cut me open, do all kinds of bad stuff, and spend a lot of time as a veggie or hospitalized. The Doctor has me believing with my age, health, attitude, and prayer chain, I have a very good chance of being 100% cured and free of the disease, if everything goes as planned. On the other hand, if things go south, I am not afraid, I have found I have more true friends that I ever thought possible, so my family won't be alone if my maker needs me more there. Maybe there are some young soldiers that need me there to make things better for them, who knows? I am here to serve on earth or in heaven. God Bless you all for what you do.

August 8, 2007 Update -

Hallelujah!! Your prayers made a difference!  Ebay completed the body scan, and NO additional cancer, it is localized in the lung.  Treatments are starting today (Aug 8).  Let's keep Ebay and his family in our thoughts and prayers!

We are with you as an Army of One

Bless all of you for caring,

Bronco 6
