Celebration of Freedom "For
the Renewal of Patriotism"

Parade Marshall:
US Army Master Sergeant (MSG) and Purple Heart Recipient Juanita Milligan
from Andover, Kansas.
MSG Milligan joined the Army in 1986 and is now in her nineteenth year of
service to our Nation.
During her second tour in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom she was
severely wounded 20 August 2005 at Balad, Iraq and has had several
operations because of her wounds. MSG Milligan is a American Legion
Member of Post 406, Andover, KS.
It is a privilege and honor
for all us ALRiders to be with her in this Celebration of Freedom
Parade. Juanita, we are very proud of you and appreciate your service
and sacrifice for our freedom.
Members of the Kansas American Legion Riders will conduct a "RIDE BY" with
their mounted Flag Honor Guard in advance of the parade. They will travel
to the end of the parade route, park their motorcycles in columns of 2's
on the right and left side of the street, then pay proper military respect
to the walking American Flag Honor Guard and military soldiers as they
pass by.
The American Legion Riders Post 81
will be the lead on this mission.

Pre-Staging Area and Briefing:
0900 hrs. (9AM) 04 Nov. 2006---Wal-Mart parking lot on Highway 254/54
west and south side of highway. Line Up flags in proper order:
A parade committee person will lead or instruct our column to the
main staging area.
Depart To Main Staging Area for line up: 1015
hrs. (10:15AM) Post road guards and proceed with Flag Honor Guard to
main parade staging area.
Parade Route:
The parade will begin at the intersection of First and North Main Streets,
proceed south on Main to Central, west on Central to Taylor, and north on
Taylor to Second Street, then east on Second to the Butler Community
Building. Final instructions for location to park our motorcycles in
columns at the end of the parade route will be announced at briefing.
