There will be a surprise Homecoming Saturday, March 31, 2007 for Captain Jared Nystrom, 2nd Armored Stryker Regiment, Vilsek, Germany. He has served 2 tours in Iraq. He is home until Sunday morning to give his final farewell to his Grandfather, Sherman Nystrom, US Navy, 24 May 1944 until 13 June 1946, enlisted immediately upon high school graduation. Pharmacist Mate 3rd Class (corpsman)...USS Benevolence. Corpsman Nystrom was buried 28, March, 2007. 
    
     This is a Homecoming but we will also present the family with a We Support Our Troops flag to the family in Memory of Corpsman Sherman Nystrom. Jared Nystrom is son of Post 4 member Bruce Nystrom and the nephew of Post 406 ALR member Jim Newby. Let's give him a good Welcome home before he has to go back.

We will meet at Dillons 10222 W 21st St N at 3:15PM for the flag signings. AIS at 3:45PM to head for the Nystrom home located 1 1/2 miles west of Maize Road on 29th Street. The last 1/4 mile will be dirt. Forward this to all your rider friends, the weather will be nice. Also, for those working at Post 406, we will be resuming some of the outdoor work Sunday afternoon around 2PM.
