Patriot Guard Presented with

Sense of Senate Resolution

and Welcome Home for

PFC Michael S. Selley

Friday October 20, 2006
Harold Stones, the Kansas Special Projects Director for Senator Pat Roberts attended "Friday Night Chow" at ALR 136 on October 20, 2006.  Mr. Stones presented a copy of Proclamation 535 (which is part of the fallen Soldiers act) proclaiming the formation of the Patriot Guard by the ALR and the Patriot Guard Mission. Before he presented the framed Proclamation, Mr. Stones recognized PFC Michael Selley of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) for his service. Michael received a standing ovation. PFC Selley, who recently returned from Iraq, was recognized by ALR 136 with a Certificate of Appreciation.  PFC Selley is now back on duty at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.  The ALR had done a "Welcome Home" Ride for PFC Selley back in May, and after Friday's dinner he joined the American Legion.
