Subject: Update on Curtis

Hello Everyone:

I thought I would give a blanket update on how Curt is doing.

1. He was transferred to outpatient care on March 2nd.

2. He was fitted with a wound vac that he now carries around with him 24-7. Its main purpose is to aide in the healing process. It extracts blood, infection, and any other fluid from the wound site. We have a 4-6 week time-frame before evaluating him to consider its removal, although the sponge is changed out every 3 days. I have the pleasure of changing out the canister and line.

3. He still has his staples in the exploratory incision site. We're not sure when they will take the staples out.

4. He still tires easily and experiences discomfort. However, his range of motion has increased for which he is grateful for. The percocet keeps him wound up. We're trying to get him on something that will allow him to get better rest.

5. If you would like to send him a card, or call to talk or leave him a message:

Thank you for all your prayers, emails, and phone calls. I know it means a lot to Curt. The encouragement can only help him during his healing process.

Love,
Jennifer
